  • Should you wash your hair after getting a hair-doo from a salon?

My step mom is so freaking particular about washing your hair right after having a haircut from the salon. But if you wash it don't you think the hair-doo will get messed up??

Thanks%26lt;3.Should you wash your hair after getting a hair-doo from a salon?
Nooo!! Why would your haircut get messed up after a shampoo? The only time you cant wash your hair after getting it done is when you get a perm. I am a beautician so i know this as fact!Should you wash your hair after getting a hair-doo from a salon?
i wash my hair with the hair %26amp; sholder . r u gess i m sardar or mona?
    i always do
well... it depends, if that doo is good then u can but i wouldnt say yes because then u might loose that doo, if u kno how to do that doo after u wash it.. i recommend it, usually, after every hair cut.. u are supose to wash ur hair.. cuz lice and bacteria on the siccors and stuff that the salonist use and also, it keeps ur hair clean and keeps the hair that is stuck to ur head.. stuck.. and the one cut off, off
Look at it this way, they include the price of the washing in the total. So you are already paying for it. Also, they have different professional conditions/shampoos for your hair that will go along with the product line they are using.

Where is the best hair salon you have been to for cutting hair in Sterling Heights,MI?

WHich hair dresser was the best and how much is the price?Where is the best hair salon you have been to for cutting hair in Sterling Heights,MI?
Hair to Dare was my favorite but I'm not sure if that's crossing into Roseville. My stylist isnt there anymore but all of the ladies are very well trained. The price is great, I think I paid 90 for a cut, color and highlight so about 30 bucks for a cut.

What is a good hair salon that specialises in dreadlocks in victoria?

    victoria, australia.

preferably in or close to melbourne.

10 points for best answer. What is a good hair salon that specialises in dreadlocks in victoria?
I started my own dreads about 4 months ago. I highly suggest not going to a hair salon at all. Most of them are for African American textured hair and instead of backcombing they will use products and twist (this works for that texture hair, but if you want it backcombed, salons are not the place to go!)

Instead, get some friends to come help!

If you go this route: the most important thing is sectioning! Just make good even sections (you want them round or square, not rectangle!)

After that just get a flea comb (not used of course!) and backcomb, basically just comb the hair backwards as if you are teasing it. Do this as best you can, and then do it again! You want them to be backcombed really tight (if they aren't it's not the end of the world, dreadlocks are the hair in it's natural state, so if you don't backcomb well it will just take longer for them to develop)

On top of that, I beg you, don't put product in them! Wax is common but it's actually not so great for dreads, it makes it so they don't move so they can't knot up! It also stays in the dread and doesn't get washed out when you wash them-- not good. Just wash them with a non-residue soap and they will be great.

hm, here's a post I made with more details on how to start your own dreads if you are interested,

  • What do you think are my chances of getting hired in a salon when I am over 40?

I am looking to get back in the workforce after being at home raising my family. I want to try something new but I am in my mid- forties. I wonder if it is too late or unrealistic to think I could go to beauty school and get my cosmetology License. What do you think? What are my chance of being hired if I do?What do you think are my chances of getting hired in a salon when I am over 40?
Ability knows no age. If you are good enough, you will get the job,....What do you think are my chances of getting hired in a salon when I am over 40?
Well first of all you must be trained for beauty or go to a beauty school to get atleast 80% of being hired. I have gone to places like Super Cuts and Hair Cuttery and everyone looks like they are in their mid 20's or 30's. I have seen one time, only one time though a lady that looks in her 50's or 60's! So i say that there is about 80% percent of being hired for beauty.
You have just as much of a chance as the 20 and 19 year olds...Age doesn't matter. As long as YOU know what your doing, and have that license, You can work in a salon.

I dont know what method theyre going to use on your hair but for me it took about 6-7 hours. my hair is naturally light brown colour and I died it black so its the same story here..I think it all depends on the method :) for my hair I asked for the most harmless...
This is a color correction and can take all day, depending on what the underlying colors are and what your goal color is. Make sure you go to a reputable salon/hairstylist. Color correction can be very difficult.

Any tips would be awesome.....What are the best beauty salon's in Calgary for Wedding Day hair and make-up?
There's one by the Roadhouse that's very good and reasonable. Sorry I can't tell you the name tho cause my friend works there but they specialize in group treatments and keep every ones costs down. They have made arrangements to have the crew go into peoples homes or the church for such Special events and that's primarily what they do is special events, so they aren't busy all the time. Just don't hold it during the Stampeded, that's when they're doing thousands of cowgirls, beauty queens etc.

How much should i charge to build a website advertising a hair salon? Someone throw a figure at me??

Im going to build a website but i have no idea how much i should charge to build it for them? How much should i charge? Its an hair salon websiteHow much should i charge to build a website advertising a hair salon? Someone throw a figure at me??
You should charge about $75 in total. Some would go to the time you spent, getting the template, and making sure the place is happy. Then you would want to charge a little more to pay the webhost to host the site along with money for getting people to that site through advertising.

Here are some cheap/free advertisings sources:

http://www.easyboyptc.co.nrHow much should i charge to build a website advertising a hair salon? Someone throw a figure at me??
Well, I would base it on the time it will take to develop it and whether or not you will purchase any software or art for the website.

If it is for a friend or family member, then maybe 25.00 - 30.00 dollars per hours of worktime. And really get it done quick. You can do a ';mock'; website to get an idea of the time involved, then provide the hair salon with an estimate based on that, you may want to offer the hair salon one or two ';revisions';. Make sure you put in a disclaimer that says the estimate is an approximate price and the final amount due may be higher or lower than the estimated price.

If not go higher. I charged 75.00 per hour for being on site at a place to straighten out their computers ( data entry errors).

  • Is it okay to bring your own nail polish to a nail salon?

I don't find any of their nail polish appealing. Is it okay to bring your own nail polish to a nail salon?
ya i do it all the time!!!!!!!!!!Is it okay to bring your own nail polish to a nail salon?
I would ask, but I would assume so. Now that I'm a nail polish freak, thinking of those nasty sticky bottles they put on my fingers grosses me out. They continually put in thinner to make it paint worthy, making the ';real'; color and integrity not be there.

I would (if I ever did my nails in a salon again), but I've got the best stuff, I can change my polish nightly and be happy!
yea you can! when i was in a wedding for my older cousin i brought the specific color my cousin wanted me to have and they didnt say anything about it. as long as you pay for it, they dont care.
I'm sure you could, I mean your paying for it! They probably wouldn't mind.
    yeah!

i do that all the time
i guess it really depends on the salon. ask first?
yes you'll still have to pay them to paint your nails though,

You have to start by going to a cosmotology school, and obtain graduate certificates, and you need licsences,to cut hair,be certified to do nails, etc, and to have a business. And you'll need a bit of cash, that you can probaly make by starting off working in salon.

  • Tanning salons, which ones are a rip off?

can i go in a level one bed, not burn real bad and still get color. are all stand up's the same level? help. i am fair skinned and need to go cheap!!Tanning salons, which ones are a rip off?
You know fair skin is in right now, tanning salons are pretty much the same around here but self tanning cream is a lot safer.Tanning salons, which ones are a rip off?
every one of them! paying for skin cancer isn't right if you want a darker look try tanning naturally (and safely) in the summer
I am aslo very fair skinned. I have never used a stand up so I don't know about that. Usually when I first start somewhere I ask which bed has the newest bulbs because they have the hottest beds and I dont want that. I burn easily..Also I use olay face cream before because it has sunscreen which keeps me from burning. Also may be a good idea to use in the breast, butt, and pantyline. I seem to burn those places also until I get used to goin. I still get color just the color I want instead of red. The more you go the less you really have to worry about though.
level one beds vary at every salon. every tanning bed will get you tan provided the bulbs are changed regularly. If they use brand new bulbs you are more likely to burn. most salons will tell you to reduce your time when they get new bulbs put in. try a tan lotion with a bronzer to boost your color, people with fair skin will notice more of a difference with this. Start out slow and go about every other day. Dont think going for 20-30 min will get you tan in one day.. you will fry and not be able to tan for a few weeks then. if you are really fair start only going for 5-10 minutes every other day, after a couple week you'll notice a base tan and can build on that. and after tanning and showering make sure to apply moisturizing lotion. This will prolong/extend your tan. All stand ups are not the same level, they have some stand up beds that you can only go in for a max of 10-12 min and others max time is 20-30. I hope I helped without giving too much info.
the better question is wich ones arent a rip offf.

Ugh, yes. Right before my wedding. I have pale skin too (and at the time I had an awful t-shirt tan from working outside all summer-- it didn't really complement my strapless dress). I even paid extra to get it airbrushed on by a professional, to make sure it would be even and my tan lines wouldn't be noticeable.

Worst mistake ever. It looked awful (my armpits were brown for almost a week, but it washed off of my stomach 3 days later!) and faded unevenly. You're better off with a gradual tanning lotion or spray. If you're super curious, maybe try it once, but make sure you don't have anything important going on for a few days.It works out differently for different people.Has anyone ever tried those salon spray on tans in the booths?
Why do you want to change your skin color?

Don't you know FAIR SKIN is beautiful and there are so many people out there who would die for it? There are even skin lighteners on the market to get whiter skin! Be proud with what you have. You don't want some crappy fake tan to change your already gorgeous skin color do you? To me, thats just gross.

It will make you look orange no matter what, all fake tans look ';fake'; and ';try hard';.

Rock the fair skin !! =]
you wont look like an oompa loompa unless you go more then once a week. however, the downside of getting spray tans from my experience is it tends to leave an unpleasent scent on your skin that is hard to remove. so if i were you i would use gradual tanning lotions they work the best. try avenos gradual tanning lotion it works great!!
Yeah and they are hard to breath in! But they work.

Do tanning bed goggles give you tan lines? And how old do you have to be to join a tanning salon?

I've never been before, and my mom absolutely hates tanning in general, so wouldn't exactly approve of the tanning bed idea. Hopefully 16 is old enough to not have to require parent permission?

And the goggles? I don't want pale eyelids..Do tanning bed goggles give you tan lines? And how old do you have to be to join a tanning salon?
most places i've heard of require you to be 18 or else you need a parent signature.. and wearing goggles doesnt make your eyelids stand out from the rest of your face from my experience and ive been using a tanning bed for over a year, not religiously or anything though.Do tanning bed goggles give you tan lines? And how old do you have to be to join a tanning salon?
no! no! tanning ! your mom is right, period. she is thinking of you when she says no. put your mind on something else that won't hurt you because going to a tanning salon most certainly will. not only will tanning cause you to get wrinkles, but could cause you to get cancer,i don't know if she went into the details behind her no. you are too young to start abusing your body. tanning tatooing and piercing are nothing more than fads, that if you don't think things through could cause problems down the line. listen to mom, she knows best and she loves you.

Is it better to have my legs waxed proffessionally at a salon or at home?

I've tried home waxing before to no joy and was wondering if salon is better? I'm going on hols a week on wednesday and want smooth pins (can't be doing with shaving on holiday!) and need to know how to get the best results and how long it lasts for....

Also, is it worth getting a lash tint for when i'm swimming and that?? xhIs it better to have my legs waxed proffessionally at a salon or at home?
yeah you can do it professionally if its for a week coz the do kinda last longerIs it better to have my legs waxed proffessionally at a salon or at home?
of course its better when a professional does it ! i have been waxing my legs since i was 13 , and im 16 now , and the first few times , i tried to do it by myself.it turned out not so good , so then i started going to a Professional , and i have been going ever since...my legs stay perfectly smooth for like two and a half months ! im serious!

and about the lash tint , you could get it only if you REALLY need it , because it damages your eyelashes =]

    mine?what is my face shape?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
sometimes i do it at home and sometimes at a salon, Although when i do it at home for some reason it only works on occasions and can be very messy, your more likely to get better results at a salon and probably only spend 拢10 more which i think is worth it.

i wouldnt bother with eyelash tint, its quite a complicated thing to do and to be honest it doesnt make that much of a difference, in the bright sun people cant really see the change.
you should go to a salon to get you legs waxed, if you do it at home make shure that you put baby powder on you legs first for you do nt get stretch marks, the baby powder will soften you skin too.
    salon!
If you are unsure or havent done it before go to a salon. If you know what your doin then do it yourself.
I'd say go to the salon, they'll probably do it faster.
you should get your legs waxed at a salon because they know what they're doing so your legs end up smoother and stay like that for longer x
Salon, definitely. It's faster and they do it better, and it actually hurts less when they do it!
i get my mum to wax mine .. ruthless and fee free

.. or you can try hair removal cream :) good stuff
Yes its probably better if you get someone else to do it your less like to miss spots
    salon
You should definitely get your legs waxed at a salon - but for the best result you are usually advised to leave 4-6 weeks between your last shave and when you get your legs waxed, as not all of the hair on your legs grows through at the same time.

I'm sorry but I don't know much about lash tints - why don't you just try a waterproof mascara?

    (:

    Go to the salon everyday.
It sounds like you have very similar hair to me.

I use my GHD straighteners to curl my hair (takes a bit of practice - watch the DVD that comes with them) and after creating each curl i dab a little strong hold gel on my fingers and drag over the ringlet (do not wait until the end or you miss some) do the curls much tighter than the end result you want to see as they will fall down a bit and they stay better on freshly washed hair (if i havent washed my hair that day the curls fall out after a couple of hours)

Have you heard of Palmers cocoa butter formula? Its a gradual tanning moisteriser but gives a natural golden tan after just one application and it also tones your skin. It costs about $8 for 250mls and you can buy it from chemists and supermarkets. Ive tried all kinds of tanning products and alot of them make you go orange but with palmers gradual tanning moisteriser your left with a golden natural tan. I love this product,Its cheap and looks great.
Try Jergens natural glow express Body Moisturizer.

    It's really cool.

You'll see a difference in one application!

To use it, you smooth the lotion on evenly and rub in completely. Use sparingly on elbows, knees and ankles. Wash hands after application. Allow several minutes to dry prior to dressing. Use until desired color is achieved. Reapply as needed. Once desired color is achieved, maintain your glow with a Jergens natural glow Daily Moisturizer.

    Have fun at your party!
You have to try Booty Butter tanning lotion from Bikini Kitchen! It is a sun tan accelorator which means you do not have to speand hours inthe sun to see a golden brown tan - no matter what kind of skin you have. Check them out on the web at http://www.bikinikitchen.com - I think they are having a promo right now for a free sample and all you have to pay for is shipping! :)
Have you tried a mystic tan? The tan that they spray on. I tried it once for a date and it worked great and it lasts for about 7 days.
Get in a space ship. Fly to the sun. Get out for a few seconds. Get back into the space ship and come back home. DONT FORGET TO COME BACK HOME (this is the most important bit).
take a bowl of curd and add one spoon of honey and lime juice. mix well ..

Is it wierd for a guy to go to a tanning salon?

I started going to the tanning salon this pass week, something i've never done before. Where i'm from no guy's ever would be caught dead in a tanning salon but i've moved from that small town where it seems like woman have higher standards in men. I guess what it boils down to is, is it gay for me to go to the tanning salon? Is it wierd for a guy to go to a tanning salon?
A better question would be whether or not you are comfortable going to a tanning salon and enjoy the results. Caring (not obsessing) about your looks is not gay. Women should expect that a man would take care of himself and at least be aware of the way he looks. Chances are this spills over into other parts of your life as well and explains the type of person you are. Do not be concerned with whether something is ';gay';. Unless you have doubts about your own sexuality, just smile when the girl across the way smiles at you and not pasty, unkempt boy next to you.

I tan as well. The difference is I use my backyard, but only because it happens to be conveniently filled with sand, saltwater, and scantly clad women.

Food for thought: Ever see contestants in a bodybuilding contest? The most (stereotypical) masculine activity has not one person who isn't completely tanned for showing off his physique. Is it wierd for a guy to go to a tanning salon?
    No of course not!

Guys the embrace their ';inner feminity'; are more appelaing to most women anyway!

  • If i get hair extensions braided in at an african american salon?

rather than any other salon would they last just as long (2 months) or less, because my texture hair is different from african americans, its wavy but when straightened very soft straight and silky. would the extensions slip out? Because Their salons are way cheaper, to apply the extensions, it'd be 20-40 dollars, any other salon they want to charge be from 90-450 dollars! no glue in extensions! i heard that makes you bald!If i get hair extensions braided in at an african american salon?
So you want hair extensions? The best thing to probably do is get them sewn in, that way you won't have to worry about them slipping out. With sew-in extensions your hair is braided and the tracts are sewn into the braids (youtube has some videos that show what they are). Nobody really does the glue anymore anyway...what African braiding place only charges $40-$50 for some extensions? That's very rare...make sure it's a legit place and they do really good work 'cause most African braiding shops charge a minimum of $100 for extensions, especially sew-ins, plus you gotta buy your own hair. Then again, I have no clue as to where you live or what shop you called, just make sure their work is up to par. Don't wanna be lookin' a hot mess. Hope this helps ya!

I'm getting blonde highlights soon and would like to know about how often I would have to go in to get them re-done.How often do highlights have to be re-done at the salon?
It all really depends on how fast your hair grows.

Everyone's hair grows at different paces.

i would suggest going every six to eight weeks.

if your hair grows fast you might have to go every four to six weeks. How often do highlights have to be re-done at the salon?
it all depends if u want it to look like its natural 4-6 weeks but if u dont mind leting them grow out a bit can wait 10 weeks even some people get high lights and let there hair grow out comletly it all depends. it also depends on how fast ur hair grows

What type of education do you need to start your own salon ?

Although the cosmetology lic. would be a start. It is good to have a little bit of knowledge on the business. Like start by renting a booth or managing a salon for a few years for the exper. so you do not dive in something you may later realize you do not want. I have had a lic. for 14-15 yrs and had my own booth and management for 10yrs. I did all that with hopes it would give me the heads up for that to be successful. And it worked, I realized it was not my passion...so glad I didn't do it right away. Taste before you eat girl.

    Best wishes.

Experience is the best education. What type of education do you need to start your own salon ?
cosmetology degree or at least certification, and you should probably have a business degree for the financial endWhat type of education do you need to start your own salon ?
Cosmetics/cosmetology would be a start! Then business!
Go to one of the beauty schools so that you can get your certification, because you can't have a reputable salon if you are not.
a good certificate in hairdressing and beauty and all that, plus soem business management training, and some knowledge of tax and business law
Legally you don't need any. But I'd suggest, at the very least, an assosciates degree from a university in business administration.

Better yet, get a bachelor's or even a masters degree in business administration.

How often should I exfoliate? do salons do that? how much does it cost? can I do it myself? with what products

it depends if your talking about your face no more than 2 times a week. Your body i would say a few times a week. Bath and body works sell sugar or salt scrubs for the body.

And most skin care companies sell face exfoliatesHow often should I exfoliate? do salons do that? how much does it cost? can I do it myself? with what products
You can do it yourself ...and salons do it as well when you get facials.

If you wanna do it yourself you can use any exfoliant that has avocado in it cause it .. reason it won't irritate your skin and i suggest that you exfoliate every 14 to 28 days you will get better results and an amazing glow to your face ..

Good luckHow often should I exfoliate? do salons do that? how much does it cost? can I do it myself? with what products
go to bath and body work or target anything like that and get a sugar scrub for you body and look for a face wash with exfoliating beads
I heard that its better to exfoliate once a week. As for salons, I'm not sure if they do that but yes you can do it yourself. There's tons of products at a local Shoppers Drug Mart or any Pharmacy store.
There is some useful advice here.
you can do it your self for the fracture of price when you use microdermabrasion kit. Mary Kay has a good product , you can get a free sample to try go to http://www.marykay.com/s_azad/default.as鈥?/a> and request a free sample.

Salon did all of it. don't like the yellow blonde on the top. had done on wednesday and friday at the salon. would like to dye hair at home. When can i dye hair again after bleaching and highlighted at salon?
Go back and either DEMAND they fix it to ur liking or get ur money back and go somewhere else, don't do it urself, cause then u run into filling the hair with a demi, then putting either a permanant or a glaze at the ends....Trust me Im a hairdresser, we strive to make the client happy. go back tell her u hate it and give her a chance to fix itWhen can i dye hair again after bleaching and highlighted at salon?
dont do it....... this can be incredibly tricky. find a good stylist to fix it for you. take pics of what you like and what you dont like this will help alleviate any miscomunications. the stylist that originally did your hair would probably be happy to fix it. if she or he did what you asked and your just not happy, then you will probably have to pay, if it wasnt what you asked for ,then it should be no cost. most stylists want you to be happy and would like to build a trusting relationship. if your not feelin it with your stylist, talk to people and get a refferal to someone that you can trust .good luck

How often do highlights have to be re-done at the salon?

  • When can i dye hair again after bleaching and highlighted at salon?

What to expect when I go to underarm wax at the salon?

yes, it's going to hurt. i know that! but what i want to know is, don't you have to let the underarm hair grow out a little bit before you go? Like 1/4 of an inch or something like that? because they can't wax off something that isn't there. What to expect when I go to underarm wax at the salon?
That's exactly right...it has to be slightly grown so the wax has something to entangle in. It will hurt, but not for more than a minute. Once they rip the strip off it will sting and throb and that subsides quickly. What to expect when I go to underarm wax at the salon?
Maybe just don't shave that day or the day before.
there are advantages and disadvantages. you would have to let it grow a little bit, but then you would have hairy pits, but you dont have to shave for a while!
It will hurt, I cannot imagine getting that done....I wouldn't have it too long because then it's hard to pull out the hair, but keep it short about 1/4 or 1/8 of an inch would be the best....whenever you are getting it done, I'd shave like a day or 2 days in advance depending on how fast your hair grows. Good luck! That's painful!!
hair should be 5 mm long
well obviously if there's nothing there you can't wax it.

just go when you see a little growth or you start to feel insecure.

If you're confused just go buy some ';Nair'; at a store, such as RiteAid or Walgreens, maybe even Wal*Mart or ShopRite.

IT'S A CREAM THAT YOU RUB ONTO YOUR SKIN, THAT ';SHAVES'; WITHOUT YOU USING A RAZOR BLADE!

You apply it, leave it on for about 4-10 minutes, then you just rinse it off. If you do buy it, make sure to read the directions and do not wash it off with soap or it will burn. No soap = no burn at all! I use it so trust me when I explain this to you!

Eyes OPEN or CLOSED when having your hair washed at the Salon?

Do you find the shampoo at the salon relaxing or uncomfortable? Why?Eyes OPEN or CLOSED when having your hair washed at the Salon?
When I go to the Salon and I'm getting my hair shampooed, I close my eyes. When they shampoo my hair it is sooo relaxing! And depending on who is in your hair, they will massage your head and shampoo at the same time. As you can see I LOVE IT!!! lol.

But it depends on you, if you are allergic to certain shampoos then you need to let them know. Another way that getting your hair washed can be uncomfortable is if the person washing your hair is too rough....you might get one of those from time-to-time. Hope that helped!!!

What else can a salon have other than hair, nails, and facials?

Me, my sis, and my cousin are trying to open a salon. My sis is doing make-up and facials, my cousin is doing hair and nails. What can I do? Or learn to do, that's easy? What else can a salon have other than hair, nails, and facials?
Salons can also have things like massages, which you could probably learn with a bit of practise.

Also spray tanning, which you could buy a booth for.

Waxing is also usually available in salons too ^^What else can a salon have other than hair, nails, and facials?
Waxing, sugaring, massages, hot tubs, body wraps, mud baths, and oxygen therapy.
salons also do messages and eyebrows. u can look up a solan and see what they after so u can have a better idea.
    makeup? waxing?
Uhm maybe help clean up and keep the salon tidy? that would be such a big help to your sis and cousin! :)
    Body massage :]

How to dye my hair jet black at home without having to paying a high price at the salon?

okay i have natural dark brown hair with dark blonde highlight dye. i got my highlight done at a salon four months ago, now the roots are growing. im thinking of dying my hair black but then i dont have a heater for it. what do i do to make my hair look more salon result and without ruining my hair? also, how long should i leave the dye in my hair in order to cover the highlights. How to dye my hair jet black at home without having to paying a high price at the salon?
I was born a blonde and have been dyeing my hair black for about a year now... getting a jet black at home diy style can be hard. When choosing a dye (i am assuming your going with one of those box kits), if you want a jet-black, do not choose anything described as a cool shade (no matter how black the hair on the box looks, your hair will more than likely have a blue tint to it).

    http://haircolor.revlon.com/aspx/coloris鈥?/a>

    How To Color Your Hair

    http://geebal.blogspot.com/2007/10/how-to-color-your-hair.html
I just helped my friend dye her blonde highlighted hair back to black and I think as long as you don't leave the dye in more than the recommended time on the instruction sheet it should be fine. I put a thick plastic bag or shower cap on the dyed hair then blow dry it. ( similar effect as the salon heaters) To minimize breakage in dyed hair just make sure you use lots of conditioner after shampooing with a little shampoo. Shampoo has a tendancy to remove the dye from freshly dyed hair, so your hair may fade faster. Good Luck.
Apply black hair dye, many good quality hair dye are available in the market, purchase good one and use. Before use, little apply on the skin back to your ear and wait for 10 minutes and confirm that there is no reaction on your skin.

Do you know any salon that does laser hair removal in Malaysia?

i am currently here in kuala lumpur malaysia. My sis wana know if she can get laser hair removal done here in malaysia. Any good Doctor here?Do you know any salon that does laser hair removal in Malaysia?
    Ask your dermatologist or search ';medspa';

    Okay... science answer:

You grow in at least 80% of your hair during puberty. When you have laser hair removal the hairs it kills will never grow again. But you still have up to 20% of your normal thickness that will grow in throughout the rest of your life. So people get touch up sessions every 3-5 years after their big 6 treatments. You need about 6 treatments, one each 2 months for a year, because the hair grows in different stages and it can only kill hair in the active growth stage. The laser works by targeting dark color (the hair follicle) and passing through light color (the skin) the hair and skin have to be very different shades of color for the hair to work. It burns the dark color disabling the hair follicle so hair cannot grow from it again. The darker and coarser the hair and lighter the skin, the better results you will have.

    Okay... Personal Experience:

I've had 4 out of my 6 treatments so far. It HURTS! It's like being poked with a sewing needle over and over, but it's not as painful as a tattoo, and that's not as painful as childbirth, maybe that can put the pain in perspective for you =) I've had my legs, underarms, and bikini area done. When you get your bikini area done they do ALL of it! Including spreading your butt and vaginal lips apart to laser all the cracks... It's sorta awkward. After the 4 treatments I've had so far I've lost about 80% of leg hair, 80% bikini hair, and 80% underarms hair. But the legs are the most painful. The more it hurts the better it works. I have only a few hairs left around my ankles but every time the ankles hurt the worst for me.

I spent this much for 6 treatments in each area:

    Bikini-$750

    Underarms-$750

    Legs (toes to bikini)-$2,500

I am wondering if ayone has or had these type of businesses and were they profitable. I am trying to make a good decision but it possibly seems like a good opportunity. Would like your thoughts and comments.I am looking at buying a building with a tanning salon with 4 beds and a laundry mat.?
well check on the laundry at different times and see the customer base..tanners i don't know

Do you like getting your hair shampooed at the hair salon?

I'm a shampoo asistant wondering what client's like.Do you like getting your hair shampooed at the hair salon?
    Hey,

Haha it's my favorite part. At my salon, the shampoo always seems cold so it feels so fresh and good on my scalp. Plus, I always feel like they get my hair really clean.

However, when I sit in the chair and put my head into the sink it makes my neck hurt -SO- bad. I would suggest getting padding around it or some kind of spongy thing to get rid of the pain. Haha, one time my mom got her hair done and she had neck cramps from it the next day! I always hate that part.

Also, there is this one lady who shampoos my hair like death. :P She seriously like pulls my hair so hard and I am suprised I'm not bald sometimes. That's just one lady though. I would try to be gentle and soft with the clients because people like me have a sensitive scalp!

Overall that, I still enjoy it! I like this question, haha. I never knew I had so many thoughts about getting my hair shampooed so thank you!

-AudrinnaDo you like getting your hair shampooed at the hair salon?
    Oh i shampoo clients hair!

Its fine shampooing peoples hair, just ask them if the water you are using is the right temperature, if they are comfortable and when you massage their head that it is alright.

    Hope this helps!
i do as long as u massage my head good :)

i do however think it is stupid how salons charge extra for washing and blow drying it and do it n e ways w/ out asking, id rather the price be more and then just included ... its not the $ it just sounds stingy
yup, but especially the free scalp massage at the place where I go
Yes, the place I go to gives 20 minute head massages.
Yeah I guess.....but last time I had this awful lady who was abit inexperienced, abit of water dripped down and she kept banging my head against the basin.
I LOOOOVE getting shampooed! Especially when the shampoo girl uses warm (not hot) water, and uses her fingerpads and massages my scalp really hard
I love it! :) I drop by about once a month for a shampoo and blow dry, it's great and a nice way to relax. I go to different places to see what they're like, it's great when they give you a nice long massage, some places don't spend long enough or only wash it once.
I feel like they don't rinse the conditioner out properly.

Is it possible for an American to open a Pink Salon in Tokyo?

Who would I need to contact for a license (if needed)? Are existing pink salons bought and sold regularly to foreigners? Any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated. I'm only interested in owning an establishment and not looking to be a customer. Thanks. Is it possible for an American to open a Pink Salon in Tokyo?
Why do you think its embarassing to be a customer but not embarassing to run the joint? I think being a pimp and smacking around women and taking their hard-earned cash isn't the most noble job in the world.

But enough of my moral posturing. There seem to be a lot of foreign women in the business, but I'm pretty sure the rules for opening a pink salon that make it, while not impossible, difficult.

I was reading the news the other day, and saw a story about a Korean guy who runs a delivery health shop in Kanagawa Prefecture. He was arrested cuz his girls were doing the ';real thing,'; because Delihell, just like your pink salons, can do anything except hide the salami. But what struck me about the story is that the guy was a S. Korean citizen and he ran a delivery health place, which took me by surprise. Some kind of Visas you certainly cannot do ';Fuzoku'; jobs. 銆€(vice jobs)

So maybe you can realize your dream of being a sleazeball in Tokyo! Is it possible for an American to open a Pink Salon in Tokyo?
I see two problems with this. One, it would take a great deal of money just to get started.Secondly, many of these places are controlled by the yakuza. If by chance you put a dent in their business, you would likely have an '; accident ';, or maybe just disappear. The yakuza are not nice people to upset.

I also don't think '; pink salon '; will be on the approved new business list with the MOFA.

There are non-Japanese who are in this business, but it's people who are already in the country.

';Possible';, yes, but highly unlikely.Listen to SOW.He lives there.

What is the best product to use in a tanning salon?

there are a million lotions out there and I have no idea which is best. I know I don't want anything with bronzer in it, but something like a good activator. any suggestions? thanksWhat is the best product to use in a tanning salon?
The one's they sell at the salons cost to much for what they are and don't even work very well but I just bought the Hawaiian Tropic Indoor Tanning lotion from Target and it really works! I went tanning yesterday and you can definetly tell that I'm tanner! What is the best product to use in a tanning salon?
My conscience requires me to send this to you. You know that you are increasing your chances of getting skin cancer everytime you go to the tanning salon. Plus, when you're my age (53) you're going to look 10 years older if you continue to do this. I know you are young and indestructible and nothing this horrible could happen to you. but I actually know a young man who died in his early 30s from melanoma. Please consider this. Your skin is a beautiful color just the way it is.
I love lotion with tingle in it because without it I feel like I don't get anything at all. I bought a lotion on Ebay that I bought in the tanning salon before that retailed to 50 bucks but on ebay it was half that. It's called Pyro. Watch out....it is strong but with that you do not have to tan as much.....its expensive but it's awesome!

What's would I have to ask for at the salon to acheive a hairstyle like this?

I've seen a few people with it.......it's a long length style, with very short side bangs that gradually get longer and curve round the face? I've asked for it plenty of times but they never know what I mean. Can you find any pictures with a similar style? What's would I have to ask for at the salon to acheive a hairstyle like this?
Ask for face framing bangs, or face framing layers. Explain it exactly as you did in this question: bangs that gradually get longer and curve around the face! I'm assuming you mean something kind of like this?:

EDIT: Oops, didn't realize you said ';side bangs';. In that case, try asking for asymmetrical bangs. It's pretty simple, just take a couple pictures to show them. Here's one that's not ';scene'; (barf):

I think it's called ';face framing layers'; or ';face framing'; something. Try finding a picture of the hair style you want and bringing it to the salon with you and asking them for that. You could also try typing in ';face framing hair styles'; or something like that on a search engine and seeing if you can find the hair style you want to find out exactly what it is called. This is what came up when I searched for ';face framing layers'; on Google Images: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en%26amp;rl鈥?/a>

You could try browsing through those, searching by typing in just ';face framing'; or something else.
err. uhm you can try growing your bangs out long, then getting it cut a little shorter, but as its getting cut shorter make sure they angle it in towords your face, ask them to use a razor comb.... thats the only thing i can think of
I dont know of any pics, but you could ask them to layer your hair up the front until it reaches bang length.

Is it hard to get a job at a tanning salon?

I really want to work at a tannng salon, I applyed once but they were not hiring, so I think I will try again.

The only experience I have is working at a before and after school program with kids, and im 19.Is it hard to get a job at a tanning salon?
It depends on were you live. but tanning salons are not hard to get into if youre available . My friends sister never gave someone a spray tan and got the job. They teach you everything once you get it. Dont give up keep looking in your area!

How many times have you cried after leaving the hair salon?

I can't even count the times, which is why I do my own hair now! I also cried after my mom gave me a perm in high school and my hair turned green and crimped...that was classy :0How many times have you cried after leaving the hair salon?
Oh girlfriend...one to many times! People don't know how to deal with my hair! Even highly paid supposedly professionals! I've had them cut it too short and it stuck out like springs on my head(my hair HAS to have weight on it to pull the tight curl out so that it looks good! I have also had them cut it WRONG so thatvit looks like a Broom Head LOL...no one touches my hair but me now!How many times have you cried after leaving the hair salon?
Only once. When I was in 7th grade, my mom cut my bangs for me. She pulled them when she cut and they were waaaaay too short. So, she took me to a salon and they had to do like a ';pie'; cut to my bangs. It was awful and I just bawled and bawled. The next day at school everyone kept asking why I got such an ugly hair cut. I was mad at my mom about it.
Just last month. I wanted my hair dark brown with red and blonde highlights, she dyed it bright red with blonde highlights.

I was upset so I just paid and went home because if I would have said something then I would have caused a scene probably. After I stopped sobbing in the bathroom with a towel over my head I finally gained the courage to call and talk to the manager and explain, the manager re-did it herself and now I LOVE it....I'm to lazy to do it myself, I admit it, plus I am scared I will get it wrong and turn my hair green too!
my hair was down to my butt on graduation day of high school and I wanted it to my shoulders (well right below them) and the lady cut it off to my ears.... I was so upset... it also did not help that she styled it like an old lady
Only twice...once when the colorist burned my scalp. I had a 1/2 dollar size scab. I should've sued.

And another when I wanted a Root Perm and got a a regular perm. I looked like I was 5. Hated it.
Only once that I can remember. The stylist cut my hair in a really short unflattering way and I hated it. I cried all the way home.
almost everytime lol, thats why my hair is so long....i am deathly afraid of them now, would rather go to the dentist.....
Only once and I will never forget it. It was my fault though. She gave me what I wanted. It just wasn't what I expected.
u knoe what i mean cool cyclical dafjuj
