What to expect when I go to underarm wax at the salon?

yes, it's going to hurt. i know that! but what i want to know is, don't you have to let the underarm hair grow out a little bit before you go? Like 1/4 of an inch or something like that? because they can't wax off something that isn't there. What to expect when I go to underarm wax at the salon?
That's exactly right...it has to be slightly grown so the wax has something to entangle in. It will hurt, but not for more than a minute. Once they rip the strip off it will sting and throb and that subsides quickly. What to expect when I go to underarm wax at the salon?
Maybe just don't shave that day or the day before.
there are advantages and disadvantages. you would have to let it grow a little bit, but then you would have hairy pits, but you dont have to shave for a while!
It will hurt, I cannot imagine getting that done....I wouldn't have it too long because then it's hard to pull out the hair, but keep it short about 1/4 or 1/8 of an inch would be the best....whenever you are getting it done, I'd shave like a day or 2 days in advance depending on how fast your hair grows. Good luck! That's painful!!
hair should be 5 mm long
well obviously if there's nothing there you can't wax it.

just go when you see a little growth or you start to feel insecure.

If you're confused just go buy some ';Nair'; at a store, such as RiteAid or Walgreens, maybe even Wal*Mart or ShopRite.

IT'S A CREAM THAT YOU RUB ONTO YOUR SKIN, THAT ';SHAVES'; WITHOUT YOU USING A RAZOR BLADE!

You apply it, leave it on for about 4-10 minutes, then you just rinse it off. If you do buy it, make sure to read the directions and do not wash it off with soap or it will burn. No soap = no burn at all! I use it so trust me when I explain this to you!
